Bath Time Here I come

Tyler seems to be enjoying bath time more and more. We actually got his first smile during it. Pictures are limited during this time because he showers with Jerry, and I am sure Jerry doesn't want his doopy exploited....unless it was for money!! Anyway I did get some cute pictures as I tried to get him dressed afterwards. He somehow got a big grasp on the towel and thought it was hilarious to pull it up and down over his face. He was laughing almost as hard as when he toots! Like I said before "such a boy". So here are some pics of the "After Party". Enjoy!!!!

The Milk Coma

Don't you wish we could all sleep like this after just some milk?

4Generations

This picture I wanted taken because when I was little there is a 4 generation pic done the same way.

Easter Bunny Here we come!

Look at My Head!!!!

Easter Sunday

This Easter we did something different. Usually for every holiday I go all out and make a big meal for the three of us, but this year I decided not to. I figured that with Jerry and I leaving for Port St. Lucie the next day it just wasn't worth it. All the left overs would go to waste plus I would have to cook (of course Jerry would help) and pack. Then who would eat the leftovers??? Why waste $85 dollars at the grocery store? So I made reservations at a roadhouse that was having ham and we all went there. I doubted that Easter could have the same meaning, but Jerry was right by saying it is just about us being all together. We did have a great meal.

I did though hide some candy for Matt and Tyler was put in his Easter shirt and surrounded by bunnies for pictures. One great bonus to the day was Tyler rolling over twice from his belly to his back and we were able to get it on video. He probably thought we were crazy when we all started clapping like crazy.

Trip to PA

Ty and I went to PA for a week and it was exactly what I expected...busy, fun, and some how relaxing. The flight there was a learning experience for me. Rule #1 to follow when flying with an infant just carry baby and diaper bag. #2 Don't expect people to help you ...make them #3 pack snacks because eating will not happen. #4 Practice peeing while holding a baby as you are loaded up with bags. Overall Ty did great, I had an all day upset stomach.

While we were there he met the rest of the people that love him, including family and friends. He visited people at Hamot Hospital, Saint Vincent Hospital, The Milcreek Mall and saw the Easter Bunny, went to his first Easter Party, went to Great Grandma's house and had a family dinner.

One big thing that started happening while we were there, was that he increased his sleeping time from 4 hours to 6 ours. I still think Grammie put a magic spell on him. He also got a sloppy doggie kiss from Coty. Ty also got tons of wear out of his winter Harley Davidson hat that his Gramps got him and saw snow for the first time ( even though he won't remember).

I personally love going home no matter how hectic it is, which it always is. I miss my family so much and all the chaos it brings. Even though my home is in Florida and I would never move back, a piece of my heart will always miss dreary ol Erie.

Anybody Need Their Fur Cut???

Everyone that was down for Tyler's birth is aware that Matt has been growing his hair aka "Fur Helmet", well he allowed me to cut it off. Usually Jerry cuts his hair but he has been gone pretty much since Jan 9th, so Matt has been going oh natural with the hair. Matt's hair is not normal hair. It is thick, coarse wave and when brushed feels just like an afro! Well He trusted me one Friday night to cut his hair before he went out to a party. Of course I was excited and eager to cut it but I had no idea what I was getting into, plus I haven't cut hair in over ten years. So there we were in the kitchen with clippers and I was laughing the whole time stopping to take pictures and he was screaming due to his hair pulling due to the overgrowth. After about an hour of just cutting I was done and hair was everywhere, but Matty Matt looked great! Maybe cutting hair
was my profession in a past life???

How did we get here?

It all started with a look and I remember it well. I think we both knew right then, but after a wonderful courtship, Alicia and I had a fantastic wedding with all of our friends there.

Soon after a honeymoon cruise and both of us battling our health issues we came up with our family plan and it has worked to perfection so far.

It has been a great ride so far. Her family has been there for us and we certainly appreciate everything that they have done. Our fiends have pitched in and things just really have worked out well to this point.

My Two Sons

There was never any doubt in my mind about my children. I always knew I would have Boys. Alicia thought we might have a girl at the beginning of the pregnancy, but by the ultra sound, she was convinced.

Matt did not want to come out at all. And Ty decided to come three weeks early. Matt is tall and lanky. Ty looks like he might turn out stocky to me. Built like a fire hydrant maybe.

Watching Matt grow up has been ever eventful and truly amazing. Remembering back to his childhood is always rewarding. Now with Tyler, I have the chance to do it all over again and I will not take things for granted. Matt is deciding now on college again. I am confident he will do the right thing. Tyler will be given every opportunity to succeed. We will make sure of that.

Right now we are all together a very happy family. Close and loving.

My Turn

I like to put my own perspective on the way things have gone so far. Tonight I told Alicia to put up a blog so I could find out what was going on in our lives.

She has really blossomed as a Mom like it was meant to be. Motherly instinct or medical training, or just being prepared. Built into these women i guess ? She and Ty stayed with me in Miami most of the job down there. Matthew took care of homefront.

Alicia really has it all going on. Beautiful girl. Successful career. Smart. Fun. And mostly, three men to drive her crazy all day long.
